Foreword

This third edition cancels and replaces the second edition (ISO 9405:2015), which has been technically
revised.
The main changes are as follows:
— better description of the colour grey used in the cabinet (5.1)
— correction of the lux had to be according ISO 105 A01 (5.1)
— adaptation of the distance for evaluation (7.1)

1 Scope
This document describes the procedures for assessing the overall change in appearance of textile floor
coverings caused by the Vettermann drum according to ISO 23106 and EN 18320, Hexapod tumbler test
according to ISO 23122 and Castor chair test according to ISO 4918.
