CEN/WS SEP-loT - Workshop on Best Practices and a Code of Conduct for Licensing Industry Standard Essential Patents in 5G and the Internet of Things (IoT), including the Industrial Internet
The scope of the workshop will be primarily to define a set of recommended best practices for licensing SEPs relating to the IoT to be followed by both good faith licensors and good faith licensees. A further objective of the workshop will be developing a workable industry Code of Conduct based on the best practices identified by workshop participants and considering ways to improve and ideally streamline or standardise the licensing process. Together these would form a concept that has been proposed called the "IoT SEP Licensing Portal".
