Rooflights and roof hatches - Environmental Product Declarations - Complementary product category rules (cPCR) to EN 15804

This document provides product category rules (PCR) for Type III environmental declarations for rooflights and roof hatches to be used on upstands in flat and slightly inclined roofs.
This document complements the core rules for the product category of construction products as defined in [1]. This document is used in conjunction with [1] and does not replace it.
The core PCR:
—   defines the parameters to be declared and the way in which they are collected and reported;
—   describes which stages of a product’s life cycle are considered in the EPD and which processes; are to be included in the life cycle stages;
—   defines rules for the development of scenarios;
—   includes the rules for calculating the Life Cycle Inventory and the Life Cycle Impact Assessment underlying the EPD; including the specification of the data quality to be applied;
—   includes the rules for reporting the predetermined, environmental and health information that is not covered by Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) for the product, construction process(es) and construction service(s), as relevant;
—   defines the conditions under which construction products can be compared based on the information provided by EPD.
For the EPD of construction services the same rules and requirements apply as for the EPD of construction products.
This document applies to rooflights and roof hatches with upstands as well as rooflights and roof hatches supplied without an upstand, intended for use on upstands. The rooflights and roof hatches may be individual or continuous types.
The main purpose of rooflights is to transmit daylight into the building. Roof hatches provide mainly access to the roof. But beside their primary purposes these products can be used for different additional functions e.g.
—   natural ventilation;
—   fire compartmentation and smoke control;
—   emergency exit;
—   natural smoke and heat exhaust ventilation in accordance with [2].
So the functions and the products are not fixed linked to each other.
Construction products covered by these complementary product category rules are:
—   individual rooflights and individual rooflights with upstands;
—   roof hatches;
—   continuous rooflights and continuous rooflights with upstands.

   definieren die auszuweisenden Parameter und die Art, wie sie zusammengestellt und dokumentiert werden;
   beschreiben, welche Phasen des Lebenszyklus eines Produkts in der Umweltproduktdeklaration (EPD, en: environmental product declaration) berücksichtigt werden und welche Verfahren in die Lebenszyklusphasen einzubeziehen sind;
   definieren die Regeln für die Entwicklung von Szenarien;
   umfassen die Regeln zur Berechnung der Sachbilanz (LCI, en: life cycle inventory) und der Wirkungs-abschätzung, die der EPD zugrunde liegen, einschließlich der Festlegung der einzuhaltenden Datenqualität;
   umfassen die Regeln für die Protokollierung der im Vorfeld bestimmten Angaben zu Umwelt- und Gesundheitsschutz, die für das Bauprodukt, die Bau-/Einbauverfahren und die Bauleistung(en) nicht von einer Ökobilanz (LCA, en: life cycle assessment) abgedeckt sind, soweit maßgeblich;
   natürliche Belüftung;
   Schaffung von Brandabschnitten und Rauchschutz;
   Notausausstieg;
   Lichtkuppeln und Lichtkuppeln mit Aufsetzkranz;
   Dachluken;

—   définissent les paramètres à déclarer et la manière dont ils sont collectés et consignés ;
—   décrivent les étapes du cycle de vie d'un produit prises en compte dans la DEP ainsi que les processus devant être inclus dans les étapes du cycle de vie ;
—   définissent les règles relatives à l'élaboration de scénarios ;
—   intègrent les règles de calcul de l'inventaire du cycle de vie et de l'évaluation de l'impact du cycle de vie servant de base à la DEP, y compris la définition de la qualité des données à appliquer ;
—   intègrent les règles de communication d'informations environnementales et sanitaires prédéterminées, qui ne sont pas couvertes par l'analyse du cycle de vie (ACV), pour le produit, le(s) processus de construction et le(s) service(s) de construction, le cas échéant ;
—   ventilation naturelle ;
—   compartimentage coupe-feu et contrôle des fumées ;
—   issue de secours ;
—   les lanterneaux ponctuels et les lanterneaux ponctuels avec costières ;
—   les trappes de toit ;
